Here I am going to help you in designing Content Management System for any web site. If you want to promote your web site online then you should have good content management system which should be compatible for Search engine optimization.

These are the mandatory features in designing the Content Management for any web site

1. The generated pages should have the static extension like htm or html or php. Because if we have static extension for the dynamic pages then Search Engine will give importance (spiders will eat our site content regularly) to those pages

2. In admin panel we should have the facility to insert the page title tags separately and Meta tags separately. Because we need to optimize every page with related set of keywords

3. If possible please include the sitemap generating facility in admin panel otherwise we need to buy the sitemap generating tool. Free sitemap generating tools has the limitation up to 500 pages only

4. Also we should have the facility to change the meta description of the individual pages

5. We should able to ping the. This is additional option and this is very difficult task if possible please do this one

6. When we press the new page button in CMS that page should have the options like page title, meta description, meta keywords, additional meta structure option and body content

7. CMS should have the facility to change the link name at one file and it should reflect in all the pages in server. Like if we want to change the link name which is data conversion into data conversion services. Then we should have the facility to change at one place in our existing template.

8. Before implementing the admin panel please check the generated page view in IE6, IE7 and FireFox.

There are concerns in the industry that the proprietary systems vendors are increasingly merging, which could lead to a monopoly situation. Could you be linking this mission critical application to a single company whose business aims you don’t fully understand and can’t influence?
– Think about what other systems you may wish to integrate with your learning management system (eg HR, finance). Open source software is an open system which makes it far easier to integrate with other software applications than proprietary applications – and someone else in the open source community may have already produced a free middleware patch.
