If I want to create websites with CMS facilities which will be the easiest for me to learn.
I have good HTML, CSS knowledge but haven’t tinkered with either of these to before.

Joomla or WordPress? Which one to Choose?

They are both easy to learn a little and hard to be expert in as far as the code, custom plugins and themes.
You do not list drupal. It should be on your short list IMO.
Now, which to learn? What are you setting up?
drupal – general purpose websites, community, corporate, etc.
Joomla – community sites
WordPress – blog oriented sites.
All can be pushed to do anything – the above are the general bias and comfort zone of the package.
